Nina Pattison Memorial Scholarship Application

Van Rensselaer Garden Club (VRGC)

Two (2) scholarships - Maximum $500 - will be available for award in 2023;
o One (1) scholarship for educational expenses will be awarded to a graduating Rensselaer County
high school student who intends to study horticulture or a related field at an institute of higher
learning, AND,
o One (1) scholarship will be awarded to a Rensselaer County resident who demonstrates financial
assistance need for continuing education, master gardener certification, landscape design, horticulture, or any related field.

Hilldale Farm Foundation 

AGRICULTURE & TRADES SCHOLARSHIP FOR RENSSELAER COUNTY STUDENTS
The Hilldale Farm Foundation is accepting scholarship applications from Rensselaer County students seeking higher education in Agriculture and related trades. Applicants should be graduating high school seniors who have resided in Rensselaer County for the last two years, and have been accepted to a college, university, vocational or trade school in New York State. Suitable majors and trade programs include, but are not limited to, agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry / pre-veterinary studies, food science, welding, diesel mechanic, etc. Applications are due May 1st. Scholarship Information

New York Farm Bureau Scholarship

This scholarship is open to any Senior graduating High School who lives or works on a farm, or is involved in agriculture in any way. Applicants must also have a family or student Farm Bureau membership (student memberships are free for 4-H members). Rensselaer County 4-H Teen Scholarship

NYS Association of Agricultural Fairs Scholarship 

To be Eligible: you must be a NYS Resident., a HS Senior or Currently Attending an Accredited Institution pursuing a Degree.
To Apply: You Must Download the application from the NYSAAF Website, https://www.nyfairs.org/scholarships.htm Completed Applications Must Be Received in the Schaghticoke Fair Office no later than Friday, April 8th. Please mail to our office at 69 Stillwater Bridge Rd, Schaghticoke, NY 12154

The Beryl H. Moul Memorial Grange Scholarship

Established in 1958 by West Sand Lake Grange #949 in memory of prominent Grange member Beryl H. Moul. Applicants must be pursuing a career in • Agriculture • Home Economics (Human Ecology) • Forestry • Veterinary Medicine • Education. Applications due May 1st. Farm Kids for College Scholarship

Some of the most exciting careers available today are in agriculture, on farms and throughout the industry. Farm enterprises, science careers, the vast dairy, grain and livestock industries. Ag has just about everything.

Rensselaer County Dairy Princess Scholarship

A $500 Scholarship will be awarded to a Rensselaer County Resident who will be entering their freshman year in college in the Fall of 2023. The purpose of this scholarship is to award funding for an educational endeavor to a deserving student who exemplifies the qualities of the dairy industry. Guernsey Calf Scholarship 

This scholarship application is open to youth who do not already own a Guernsey animal and are age 9 to 15 as of Jan 1.  Youth who have won this scholarship calf in the past have had the opportunity to grow personally through working to care and show their animal, meeting and mentoring with others in the dairy field, and building long lasting friendships across the dairy community.
