4-H Shooting Sports Archery League

Rensselaer County 4-H has partnered with the Schaghticoke Fair, Pleasantdae Rod & Gun Club and Castleton Fish & Game Club to offer a competitive Archery League for Rensselaer County youth ages 8 (as of 1/1/2024) and older. Beginner and seasoned archers are welcome, all equipment will be provided. The 4-H archery program teaches youth shooting sports safety through positive youth development. This program is partially funded by the Rensselaer County Department for Youth and the Office of Children and Family Services.

Youth must participate in at least two of the practices to attend the archery league contest on Saturday, June 8^th. There is a participation fee of $10.00 per youth.

The dates for the archery league:

Practice- Saturday, April 27^th 1:00pm – 4:00pm at the Schaghticoke Fair Indoor Arena, (67 Stillwater Bridge Road, Schaghticoke, NY 12154)

Practice-Saturday, May 11^th 1:00pm – 4:00pm at the Castleton Fish & Game Club (Fish & Game Rd., Castleton on Hudson, NY 12033)

Practice-Saturday, May 18^th 9:00am – 12:00pm at the Pleasantdale Rod & Gun Club (205 Haughney Rd., Troy)

Practice-Saturday, June 1^st 1:00pm – 4:00pm at the Castleton Fish & Game Club.

The Archery League Contest- Saturday, June 8^th beginning at 9:00am at the Pleasantdale Rod & Gun Club.
