COVID-19

As you may be aware, New York State recently lifted most COVID-19 restrictions for Offices.

Effective June 18th, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Rensselaer County offices will lift most COVID-19 restrictions and will implement the CDC guidance (CDC recommendations for fully vaccinated people ) as follows:

  • Vaccinated individuals - ARE NOT REQUIRED to wear a mask or socially distance, consistent with the State's implementation of the recent CDC guidance. However, vaccinated individuals may choose to wear a mask (or other acceptable face covering) and maintain social distancing at their own discretion.
  • Unvaccinated individuals ARE REQUIRED to wear a mask (or other acceptable face covering) when walking through Association premise, offices, lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and all other common areas as well as vehicles.Additionally, unvaccinated individuals must continue to maintain social distancing (6ft.) in most settings. Unvaccinated individuals may remove masks at their own workstations and in outdoor settings when 6 foot social distancing can be maintained, consistent with the State's implementation of the recent CDC guidance.
  • Beginning on June 18th, staff will NO LONGER complete Daily Health Screenings.HOWEVER, WE EXPECT ALL STAFF DECLINE FROM PARTICIPATING IN PROGRAMS OR COMING TO THE OFFICE SHOULD THEY FIND THEMSELVES UNABLE TO PASS A HEALTH ASSESSMENT AND CONTACT THEIR SUPERVISOR IMMEDIATELY
  • Beginning June 17th, visitors/program participants will NO LONGER complete Daily Health Screenings.HOWEVER, WE EXPECT ALL PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS TO DECLINE FROM PARTICIPATING IN PROGRAMS OR COMING TO THE OFFICE SHOULD THEY FIND THEMSELVES UNABLE TO PASS A HEALTH ASSESSMENT.
  • The Association’s COVID-19 Safety Reopening Plan and related documents are discontinued.

Restrictions NOT LIFTED by the Association:

  • Individual Program Safety Plans may still be in place and program participants will need to continue to complete and submit COVID 19 Waivers and follow these safety plans.
