Farm Day Out 2024

Each year CCE partners with a farm in Rensselaer County to invite the community to learn about where their food and fiber comes from.

This year Farm Day Out is being hosted by Matt's Maple Madness Sugar Operation. The Cannon Family has graciously accepted our offer to be the host of this year’s event. All are invited to Farm Day Out on Sunday March 10, 2024, from 12 noon-3pm located at 25 Quaker Road, Johnsonville, NY. On the farm, visitors will be able to tour the sugar house, experience a tractor ride to the sugar bush, learn about sugar bush wildlife, sample sugar maple products (especially maple candy), wood processing activities, visit local agriculture vendors and learn more about where our food and fiber comes from.

The public can also enjoy the variety of agriculture-related displays and activities.Farm Day Out is made possible from contributions from other organizations such as but not limited to the USDA NRCS, Rensselaer County Soil and Water District, Natural Resource Conservation Services (NRCS), 4-H Clubs, Agriculture Stewardship and more!
