Through funding made
available from Rensselaer County Department for Youth and the Office of Family
and Children’s Servies; Rensselaer County 4-H has partnered with the Dyken Pond
Environmental Education Center, Pleasantdale Rod and Gun Club and Castleton
Fish and Game to offer an Archery League again this year for youth ages 8-19
that reside in Rensselaer County. Youth will have 4 chances to practice and
then attend the final competitive team skills and shoot contest with a chance
to win individual and team prizes.
Cost is
$10 per youth- including all practices and final shoot. The initial day, April
12th, at Dyken Pond Environmental Education Center is required. The initial
event will also include outdoor survival skills, including fishing and map and
compass skills needed for the final team contest. In addition to the initial
event on April 12th, youth must attend at least 1 other practice to
participate in the final shoot.
